The morning on the day before the wedding was an event called ‘Mylanchi’ and ‘Dakshina’ where Aathira and all her female friends and family members dressed up in the traditional Kasav saree. For the first part of the event, the bride essentially took a kind of blessing from the ladies who’d paint henna dots on a pair of betel leaves that she’d hold out on her open palms. The second half of the event involved Aathira taking blessings from everybody older than her. Here are a few images from the function.
