This part is all about the ceremony itself. The ceremony in its entirety (from the bride being received by her family members until completion of the wedding and guests queuing up for photographs) took about half an hour tops. I was photographing and running around the mandap so I lost track of time, but it couldn’t have been longer than that. It was short, but it was concentrated awesomeness. There was no fire, no pandit. The elders in the family direct the wedding and its under their guidance that the ceremonies are performed. There was live traditional music which fitted with the ceremony like an intricate jigsaw puzzle falling into place. However, the most striking feature of this wedding had to be the happy couple. They powered through the ceremonies like a team and had a blast while doing so. The pictures show just about how much fun they were having through it all.
