This one is all about the North Indian style wedding. This wedding was conducted in the Arya Samaj format, but had elements of traditional North Indian weddings such as the jai mala and pheras. A short and succint ceremony was followed by dinner. The bride looked amazing in all her wedding finery… she kept looking better function after function. I’ve put together a few images which takes a peek into what went into that evening.
Let’s start with a photograph of the bride’s lovely parents right before the wedding, who took a moment out of their evening filled with bride-baraat-transport-logistics-hotel-coordination to smile for my camera 🙂
Vatsala with her fantastic team!
Team Groom…
Team Bride…
Halfway through… almost there 🙂
Vatsala’s father and brother watch on as the wedding progresses…
One of the essential ceremonies…
Formalities like sindoor putting…
…Mangalsutra tying…
….Toe ring slipping…
…. anddd saree giving and taking ensues and finishes. Most formalities are now done!
By now meeting and greeting with the guests had commenced…
….And we had to have one with the large happy family (sans couple ;))…
