Even though I am based in Delhi and do tons of candid photography here, I recently had the chance to shoot at my my friend Aathira’s wedding. A power-packed, traditional malayali wedding, with a few non-traditional elements. The wedding had a few elements from tam weddings (like putting of ring on bride’s toe) as the groom’s mom is tam. Aathira chose to steer clear from traditional gold-only jewellery (with a zillion layers) and instead chose 3 elegant uncut diamond pieces which had been designed in the typical malayali jewellery style. She got a bit of tradition and a bit of modern at the same time!
