A few weeks back, I had the opportunity of shooting little Amaira’s first birthday party. I’ve made a list of the adorable elements from the party which kept the focus on the kids there and made sure they (and the photographer – i.e. me!) had a fun, fun time. If you’re planning your baby’s birthday party, read on for some ideas which you can incorporate in your own party! Decor covered in this post has been done by Polka Dot Celebrations.
1. Fun theme decor – Butterfly Theme!
This gorgeous theme saw incorporation of hand made paper butterflies and flowers (hey, where there are butterflies, there are flowers!) in all shapes and sizes, colourful candy and cutesy element which would delight kids – especially the girls.
2. Personalised table centre pieces
Cute centre pieces on every table which brought the theme to life and made sure it was visible at every nook and corner of the hall.
3. Month wise photographs of Amaira (SUPERR cute idea!)
What an amazing idea – 12 photographs of Amaira strung together on a banner… one from each month since she was born!
4. Gorgeous hand made lanterns
Multi-coloured lanterns in the colours that one would normally associate with cute little baby girls. These paper lanterns had lovely butterfly detailing on them. Best part of it all – at the end of the party, we got to take some home with us!
5. Butterfly Theme Cake
Of course the cake also had to fit into the them! Here’s a look at that gorgeous (and yummy) cake.
6. Magic Show!!!
Well it was meant for the kids, but the kids and adults enjoyed it equally!
